President Barack Obama and former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will square off in Denver on Wednesday night in the first of three televised debates.
Tonight's 90-minute debate will focus on domestic policy. It will be divided into six segments of approximately 15 minutes each on topic selected by moderator Jim Lehrer, host of PBS' NewsHour.
Lehrer will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Lehrer will then use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the topic.
Tonight's debate runs from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
