Unions out as Twinkies' bakeries start up

(Chicago, IL)  --  Don't look for the union label when the new maker of Twinkies, HoHos and Ding Dongs resumes production at some of the old Hostess plants.  The new owners plan to reopen four bakeries in the next two months.  Fifteen-hundred workers will be hired, but they will not be represented by the union whose strike preceded the Hostess company's bankruptcy declaration fifteen months ago.  The company also plans to use third-party drivers for deliveries and an outside sales organization.
