SPRING HILL (970 WFLA) -- Three people have been found dead inside a home in Hernando County.
The sheriff's office says the victims are Daniel Castrillon and his two young children, Susana, 8, and Sebastian, 7.
Sheriff Al Nienhuis says Castrillon was going through a divorce from his wife, Luz Jimenez, who had filed to end their marriage back on October 12. He got into an argument with her at her workplace Friday. Castrillon had custody of the children but was supposed to bring them to Jimenez so they could attend the party.
Jimenez couldn't reach Castrillon or the children. She thought at first that he was just keeping them a little longer, but became concerned over the weekend and contacted sheriff's deputies, who discovered the bodies Sunday evening.
Sheriff Nienhuis says the children and Castrillon were found with gunshot wounds. Both Susana and Sebastian were found in bed. It's believed Castrillon shot them while they slept.
Grief counselors are on hand at the elementary school attended by those children.
