Three Dogs Die In Tampa Fire

Tampa, Fla.-(970 WFLA)-A house fire in the 84 hundred block of North 16th Street in Sulphur Springs has the man of the house at Tampa General and his three dogs dead.

A neighbor called 911 after seeing smoke pouring from the victim's roof.  Tampa Fire-Rescue had to force entry into the house to fight the fire.  Once inside, firefighters found 30 year-old Terrance McGriff passed out near the front door.

After pulling McGriff from the burning house, firefighters found the man's three dogs dead.

McGriff was given CPR on scene.  McGriff is critical at Tampa General.

Investigators say it looks like a pot left on the stove caused the fire. Damage is estimated at $20,000.
