TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Arabella just wasn't going to wait to enter the world in the ordinary way.
She decided to be born on I-4, with the help of a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper.
Wiclef Desamour was rushing to St. Joseph's Women's Hospital when he says his wife, Latoya, started screaming. Before he knew it, a baby was practially in her lap.
He stopped the car in the median of I-4 near the Florida State Fairgrounds and flagged down Trooper Dennis Rich, who helped deliver the baby girl.
Mother and baby are doing just fine.
