Snook numbers recover after brutal freeze

The fish has such an allure that when the state's snook population nearly succumbed to 11 consecutive days of sub-freezing mornings in 2010 — a freeze that killed off nearly one of every three — the hunters and researchers of snook mounted an unprecedented rescue mission.
