TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Three candidates seeking to replace the late Florida Congressman Bill Young participated in a short and genteel debate on public television.
The debate was taped Friday at WEDU-TV and will be broadcast over the weekend.
Republican David Jolly, democrat Alex Sink and libertarian Lucas Overby answered questions and briefly queried each other during the last debate of the campaign.
As the first major match-up in advance of this year's midterm elections, the contest is shaping up to be the proving ground for political arguments republicans and democrats hope will resonate with moderate voters in November.
The special election is March 11.
