Pinellas jail clerk faces charges in missing pills case

PINELLAS, Fla. (970 WFLA)- A Pinellas County Jail property clerk was arrested Tuesday after he admitted to stealing prescription pills from inmates, the sheriff’s office said. Alexander Lansky, 26, was charged with five counts of grand theft and five counts of possession of prescription pills. He also resigned from his position.

The investigation began on Saturday when an inmate who was released from the jail received his property and realized he was missing pills from an Oxycodone prescription bottle that he legally had in his possession when he was booked into jail. Click Here to read the entire story at TBO.com
