Man Identified In Houseboat Murders

St. Petersburg, Fla.-(970 WFLA)-Police are investigating what they call a double homicide at the Loggerhead Marina at 5821 32nd Way, South.

Investigators say the two victims, a man and a woman, were found aboard a houseboat moored at the marina.  Police say the victims were found by a massage therapist.

Officers have identified the man killed as 75 year-old John Travlos. Travlos lived on the houseboat with his girlfriend. The other victim is believed to be the girlfriend.

Officers have not released a cause of death yet, but say it appears that both victims died as the result of "homicidal violence." Detectives have ruled out a murder and suicide as the cause of the deaths..

The houseboat had the name 'Relax Inn' painted on the side.
