The jackpot-winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased from Carrollwood Market, located at 4550 West Village Drive in Tampa. POWERBALL players who frequent this retailer are encouraged to check their tickets for the May 25 drawing. The retailer received a $25,000 bonus check for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

While any Florida Lottery retailer can validate the winning ticket, the POWERBALL jackpot prize must be claimed at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee. Players can obtain additional information by calling the Lottery’s Customer Service Office at (850) 487-7787 or visiting the Florida Lottery’s website at www.flalottery.com

If the jackpot prize goes unclaimed, the monies from the Florida Lottery’s proportion of sales used to fund the jackpot prize, approximately $768,000, will be returned to the Lottery. In Florida, education is the beneficiary, with 80 percent of the unclaimed prize being transferred to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF). The remaining 20 percent is put into a prize pool, which is later used to fund new games and promotions.
